About Me

My path to becoming a therapist began with a career in social work. In my early twenties, I worked in the Child Welfare System helping children and families navigate complex challenges. The experience was both rewarding and harrowing, but it provided motivation to address my own mental wellness.  I sought counseling and was fortunate to find a wonderful therapist. She helped me make sense of my life experiences, learn strategies that worked, and most importantly experience the healing power of EMDR.

I’ve now been a licensed counselor for over 14 years, and I find the work I do incredibly meaningful. As a therapist I’ve worked with a variety of populations (kids, families, adults) and in a variety of settings (in-home, community mental health, substance use treatment facility, Hospice, and others).

Currently, I have a private practice where I concentrate on utilizing my expertise in EMDR to provide high quality therapy and training. My office is located in the Gateway Area of Pinellas County, which makes it easily accessible for the greater Tampa Bay community. I offer telehealth counseling to residents of Arizona, Florida and South Dakota. Lastly, I am a EMDR Consultant-in-Training with EMDRIA and EMDR Educators. As a Consultant-in-Training I provide skilled training, coaching and consultation to my peer therapists who are working to further their proficiency with EMDR.

Things I love outside the office

Sunset over a calm river with small grassy islands, viewed from a walkway with a rope fence on the right side, and trees in the distance.
A woman riding a bicycle down a winding path surrounded by lush trees and plants.
Woman standing outdoors, smiling, wearing a wide-brimmed hat, white sleeveless top, sunglasses, and pointing at colorful quilted art displayed on a fence. Hobbies, self-care, work-life balance.
A purple water lily flower with yellow center blooming among green lily pads on a pond.
